THE 7 BEST ROSAS BEACHES TO VISIT

1. Canyelles Petites Beach

Canyelles Petites is located just 4 km from the center of Roses and is one of the few urbanized coves, so it is usually crowded with people.

It measures just over 250 meters, its waters are usually clean and despite the people it is a quiet beach with beautiful areas to dive along the sides.

Although in the photo you see it empty we assure you that it is not so. In summer there is atmosphere, but you can be. There is a beach bar where you can have a drink and eat, called La Gua Gua. Ideal on very hot days if you plan to stay the whole day in the area.

To reach Canyelles Petites we recommend to go by car, follow the entire promenade and continue straight once you have passed the port. It will take you 10 minutes to get there. You can also take a bus that runs every hour or walk along Camí de Ronda. 2. Almadrava Beach

At the end of the Gulf of Roses we find Almadrava Beach, or cove. By its shape we consider it creek.

As we mentioned before, it is somewhat further from Canyelles Petites. Not much. It is only 5 minutes more by car and it is reached by the same road.

Almadrava is tranquility and beauty. Surrounded by mountains, forests and sea, of course. It is the largest beach on this list with approximately 450 meters and perhaps one of the most spectacular.

It has more services than the previous cove, with restaurants, beach bars and campsites.

You can also arrive by public transport. If prices are kept at last year's prices, the one-way trip from Roses would be around € 1.35.

Undoubtedly the most recommended if you want to get away from the town a little and breathe another environment, much less stressful than Canyelles Petites.

3. Murtra Creek

The first on the list that is accessed by another road. To get there you must take the road that leads to Montjoi. Vineyards, abandoned buildings, magnificent views of the entire bay and a curvy cliff await you.

Part of our history began in these mountains and today you can find its remains.

Cala Murtra is about 150 meters long and is located on the road to Cala Montjoi. We speak of a virgin cove with a natural environment of great beauty.

One of the most isolated beaches on the list for its access to the road from the road, where you must leave the car aside. After a walk of a quarter of an hour we reach the cove.

No buildings on the beach, only remnants of civilization along the way. If you are lucky you will enjoy the beach completely for you and your family.

It's a naturist beach. Warned you stay.

4. Montjoi Creek

The creek that gives its name to the road. Montjoi is a paradise for families and those who want to do activities such as boat trips, kayaking, diving and if you stay at their resort, tennis, mini golf, etc. All this within the Cap de Creus Natural Park.

Is this tour worth it? Of course.

Montjoi is a creek of just over 300 meters, perfect for a relaxing day. Known at the time by the great chef Ferrán Adrià and his restaurant El Bulli.

Something full of stones and people, but without being a burden. From the cove you will find beautiful views of Cap Norfeu and its small bay shape. We assure you that you will not be able to stop admiring the landscape.

Do not leave this cove without first visiting Cap Norfeu and walking around. A 10 landscape, especially during sunset.

5. La Pelosa Creek

Almost perfect, not too far from Cala Montjoi (two kilometers away), crossing a dirt road and can park on foot of "cove". It is located before reaching Cap Norfeu.

For us it is one of the best creeks in Girona without a doubt.

This small callet of about 100 meters is protected from the wind thanks to its shape being wrapped in rocks. A beautiful seabed for lovers of scuba diving, clean and turquoise water and a comfortable stone and sand floor compared to other coves in the area. It has a beach bar to which it gives its name.

Why almost perfect? Although in its soil we find sand and small stones, in the water the terrain changes when you find large stones where it will cost you to get in if you do not have special footwear. In addition, it is quite deep, just over 15 meters from the shore already covers the whole.

6. Canadell Creek in Roses

Possibly the least known of the list. Canadell is located near La Pelosa, being a beach of about 70 meters and little visited, so you will be in full contact with nature.

Its isolation and being a quiet, beautiful area and next to Cap Norfeu make it ideal to spend the day and take some snacks. It has large rocks and a difficult and uncomfortable terrain for walking.

If you like naturism, you are in the right place, a beautiful beach, surrounded by greenery and quiet. And near Cala Joncols.

7. Joncols Beach

The last on the list for being the farthest but one of the best known, also for its beach bar and the activities that can be done there, apart from taking a bath and sunbathing.

A beautiful creek of about 200 meters, surrounded by greenery and pebbles everywhere. Crystal clear waters and a coral bottom, ideal for diving. Difficult to access because they are dirt roads, where only a select few arrive. It has showers, bathrooms and the Xiringuito de Cala Joncols.

The views from the road and from a boat are spectacular, maybe that's why there are so many during the summer.
